Walk the trail that starts next to the school building. It is a common, marked trail that takes you to Son del Pi in approximately 1h15.
From Son del Pi:
We ́ve got two options: Walk up a marked pretty trail to the Nature Center Planes de Son. From there start first on a dirt road on the left side of the Center and continue till you cross a small river. Once there follow the signs and walk up the path through the wood. Second option:Take the old (gravel) road to Planes de Son starting about 50 m from the „lavadero publico“ in Son. Continue after passing the Nature Center to your left on the marked dirt road till you see the signs to a path 15 min below the refuge. About 2 h from Son del Pi. (Recommended winter access without avalanche risk).
From Guinueta d'Aneu, passing by Jou: You walk 200 mts for the main road direction Esterri d'Aneu, and will find the path direction Jou. In Jou you will find a map that shows you how to get to St Maurici's lake passing by the refuge Pla de la Font. You have to cross for the middle of the village following yellow marks. The last 1'5Km you walk for a wide track till the refuge.
By car:
